Member Contributer Wheatie 8 Posted September 4, 2008 Funny, I just noticed the mismatched wheels on Merkel's ride... hmmm... Therein lies one of the reasons why I loves my ride !! One year later, of course, but essentially the same design. I do believe Fast Freddie played '86 Interceptor rider back in the day as well. ummm, do believe he took home some decent change ! ! ! Anyone who owns '85-'86 700/750F has got a classic to be proud of. :fing02: Quote Link to comment

keny 353 Posted September 5, 2008 Funny, I just noticed the mismatched wheels on Merkel's ride... hmmm... I also noticed the same. Then I also noticed the spoiler on the sidefarings big airoutlet holes, and the small intake hole on sidefaring (that lead air in betwen cylinders) is disambled. hmmm... Quote Link to comment
Guest dendron Posted September 6, 2008 And, let us not forget a stock '86 2nd gen (with slight AMA-legal mods) also won the Daytona 200 with privateer John Ashmead aboard in 1990. And, this was a FOUR-year-old motorcycle up against then current factory hardware!! :fing02: Quote Link to comment
