aenpaa
My bikes open air sensor started first doing some weird things, it says that outside air temperature is very low, and after a while it started to just display 2 lines. Next day it was only 2 lines. I read that it might be faulty sensor or connection problem, but when I took everything apart, I didnt find the sensor, only clue was that it was on the nose of the bike. Could someone help me to locate the sensor, as the connector which comes from the speedometer is disconnected.
Member Contributer jeffyjeff Posted July 2, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted July 2, 2017 Remove the lower right fairing. It is on the inside of the nose fairing near the right turn signal light, to my recollection.
Auspanglish
I thought it was directly under the nose cone itself. Small black plastic pointy cylinder thing maybe half a centimetre in diameter, right in the centre under the headlights
Member Contributer jeffyjeff Posted July 4, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted July 4, 2017 A brief look at the 2004 VFR parts fiche shows the sensor is attached to the speedometer assembly. #8 in the attached diagram.
