StubyDoo
There are black marks on the swingarm that I can't remove and I suspect it's rubber from a boot heel. So far I've tried silicon furniture polish, WD40 and nail varnish remover. Any other suggestions that will remove these marks?
Member Contributer Rectaltronics Posted February 4, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted February 4, 2017 Starting with the furniture polish was probably a poor idea. Have you tried one of the spray detailers like Honda Pro Polish? Those things have a solvent-like base that seems to take rubber scuffs away without too much elbow grease. The swingarm can get a little tricky because it's not a smooth surface.
Member Contributer VFR Capt.Bob Posted February 5, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted February 5, 2017 I use kerosene for all grunge cleaning of chain, swing arm, rims. Buy a gallon. Put on some rubber gloves. Soak a rag with kerosene and Bob's your Uncle.
