1992 VFR rotor swap / modification

How2

Question

Hello

I have a modified 92, forks, shock and other bits.

I would like to put floating rotors up front without changing the wheel or fork.

Has any one done this mod with specifics on cutting or adapters ?  Photos and specs are super to have.

Here is a pict of my hawk that has the floaters swap.

It's easy: you just need two more of whatever's on your Hawk!

I used to have some "semi-floating" rotors made by Braking on my FL ('90), which I later put on my (now owned by a friend) CBR1000FP, but any kind of floating rotors were very unusual to see on those bikes, and I've never before seen the ones you've got on your Hawk.  Given that the later VFR750F wheel is a straight swap, and has floating rotors stock, I don't think many people upgrade just the rotors on the early models.

I wouldn't be surprised if the OEM Hawk rotor had the same dimensions as the OEM VFR rotors--they are both 0-offset, ~296mm OD and ~144mm PCD discs, so no adapters or different calipers would be required.

Ciao,
