nsr250 Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Just doing some basic maintenance on the new to me 98 Gen 5. Lifted the tank to get to the air filter and there are two hoses from the bottom of the tank that go to the right side of the engine. One looks torn and goes nowhere. The other has a 90 degree plastic elbow in it but is connected to nothing. Are these overflow/vent lines? Are they actually supposed to go somewhere? One is the tank breather (the smaller one) and the bigger one is the overflow for the filler cap area.The do need to vent down under the bike, for the overflow you don't want that directed onto the hot exhausts!
