moanytony
Hi all! So managed to get it started using the choke and revved it to 5,000 rpm. New battery and rectifier climbed from 12.6v to 13.5v. Resistance between all yellow wires 1.7 ohms each and none shorted to earth. Can't keep it running to see what the AC output is from the alternator. Does that sound a little wrong, or do you think ok? If then anything to try next to get the thing running again. Was all ok until I removed the fairings and solved an alternator cover oil leak (gasket). Won't idle and now won't restart so perhaps something else rather than these marginal electrical figures... Any good guesses would be most appreciated! Thanks Tony..
Member Contributer gll429 Posted July 6, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted July 6, 2015 if you cant keep it running its FUEL problem, not a charging problem. your reading of 12.6 to 13.5 is fine. PM sent
