mr2racer
Hey Anyone, Can anyone recommend the best Sport Touring tires for a VF750F? Because of the width and size of the wheels I'm stuck with bias plys. I stopped riding about thirty years ago after a green Ford station wagon became a roadblock. At that time I was riding a VF500F on Michelin High Sports. Fantastic bike and tire combination. It seems my choices in these sizes are Michelin, Dunlop, Metzler or Bridgestone. If there is anyone strill riding a VF out there and has opinion I would love to hear it. Also, is there an easy wheel swap to a 17" front thats wider? Lobotomy
I'm using the Metzlers and have had no problems with them. Saying that I usually take my time and don't go to crazy.
Veefer800Canuck
If you went with Avons, you can get a 140 for the rear. I ran one on mine no problem. http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/avon-am26-roadrider-motorcycle-tire Pirellis too. Same deal. http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/pirelli-sport-demon-motorcycle-tire
mr2racer
I'd like the wider rear but taller and asks for a slightly wider wheel. I'm 57 and after a thirty year hiatus I'm hoping I can control my right wrist. The right wrist that was one of the ten bones I broke in 1987. Thanks guys! mr2racer
It seems the only logical conclusion is to use F2 wheels so I can then use radials. Always wanted to try radials...
