VFRfix
i'm kind of afraid to draw more power considering the known weak 5th gen electricals... but is this easily done? cheap?

Member Contributer Mohawk Posted May 4, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted May 4, 2015 Get a 12v to USB port, connect to Radiator power supply inside left fairing & mount the adaptor, preferably a covered waterproof/resistant one on the left fairing inner front left of the left handlebar, the grey bit. 5th gen does NOT have a power shortge, it has reg/rec issues when to little power is drwn, thus causing it to be shunted to reg/rec to be turned to heat ! So if anything it has too much power !
MarantzManiac
True, I still keep battery tender on the quick connect whenever not riding. It's easy enough and keeps her all charged up.
