Fairing Compatability Question

i've been searching for panels for my 86 vfr700 and found a couple options on craigslist that might work, barring the seller being willing to ship them to me since nothing is local.

will 750 fairings transfer to a 700 no problem?

also, 86 and 87 are pretty much the same, correct?

lastly, to save me from creating another thread, an 87 700 gas tank should fit my 86, correct?

NOS (New old stock) side fairings for a '87 VFR700 ($750)

I do not know if these fit your application.

not the ones i found but boy are those nice! i couldn't justify $700 for them though.

i found a guy with a few parts in CA and another with a complete set in FL. the CA guy is willing to ship and his price is right, i'm waiting to hear from the FL guy because he's got a front cowl that i need.

Hi

All fairings are compatible between 1986/87 models. Be it 700cc or 750cc.

Done it several times.

88/89 fairings European/anywhere other than the US will not fit unless you do the whole lot.

The side panels from 88/89 are slightly different in appearance where the cutout is but will fit, as will any seat/tail piece from 86/89. Tanks are compatible aswell.

I have an rc26 700 here in the UK, so am aware of what works between models.
