Member Contributer karhawk Posted June 16, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted June 16, 2012 I have about 200 test miles so far with these forks, I was told they had 7k miles on them. I haven't pushed it yet and I just installed a re sprung re valved 929 in the rear. Aside from setting sag and having the proper weight springs what else should be considered when setting these forks up on a VFR?
Member Contributer trjerm Posted June 16, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted June 16, 2012 Did you compare the stock fork lenght to the R1's, I know on my modified 4th gen, that has GSXR forks, there's a lot more wt. on the front tire. My front tire was down to the wear marks in less than 1000mi and the rear looks new.

I also put a 3mm spacer at the rear to get a little more rake.
Member Contributer YoshiHNS Posted June 20, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted June 20, 2012 Start playing with the compression and damping adjustments until you find settings you like.
