Member Contributer Africord Posted March 19, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted March 19, 2012 I bought the above bag last fall because it seem to represent a good value and I wanted a bigger bag for touring. After last weekend, I'm not so sure. I took a short 150 mile trip and discovered when I removed the bag that a bunch of black material had been deposited all over the top of my red tank. I was able to clean it off with wax and grease removal spray, but I'd like to prevent it from happening at all. I suspect that this is excess dye/water proofing material, but I really don't know what it is. Anyone got a suggestion on how to address this? Monk
Is the bottom surface of the bag a soft foam type ? If so it's just a suck bottom that is not only confined to cheap ! I had one once.....Sucked....... Nothing you can do to the bag's bottom...but you can buy some rubber shelf mats and cut a piece to go inbetween the bag and tank.... It also works well to sit on(passengers/etc.) to not slide on the seat...... What bag did you buy ?
