Just received a mail from RC30 club with the most awesome carbs available for most vfr's if your that way inclined.....

About £2500 all in......

Come get me

I suggested the very same thing in the horsepower thread yesterday. Personally, I think the biggest limiting factor (flame suit on) that limits the VFR is the size of the throttle body. FCR39's would do the trick. Get rid of those PITA butterflys too!

The biggest bitch to getting a quad of FCR's to work would be all of the ignition work you would have to do with the fuel injection gone.

RC30's didn't have F.I., only the RC45's did.

You could easily make these carbs work on a 1990-1997 750 also.

Bear in mind, the RC30 would break it's crank when pushed much over 140HP. The VFR800, based on the RC45, would be a better (but more expensive) platform. The last year of the RC45 in WSB, it was a 190hp, variable intake, semi-dry sump beast.

Nice translation on the Jap stuff...

I still dont have the £2500 for the carb kit, nor do i have the £2000 for a 840 big bore kit to compliment these carbs.

Then there's some porting and lightening in the block that would help am sure...

I really really want a slipper clutch also, but ive heard of nothing i can adapt to my vfr clutch basket as of now.

I would be more than happy with 115-125hp anyday. Thats 20-30hp more than the standard 92hp. I have the running gear already in place now to take the power increase without things going ping!
