Guest gadawgr6
Im new to the VFR so dont rag me to bad on this one. I picked it up ,u 02 on Friday and put about 500 miles on it this weekend. I ran 3 tanks of gas through it, so by my calculations its getting around 30-33 mpg. What is the norm and second could the gutted exhaust have an effect. Third if its not normal and even if that is normal should I look at remaping or PCIII or is there an option besides the PC?
Baileyrock
A common problem is a bad T-stat that makes the engine run richer burning more fuel, I think high 30's to low 40's is much more normal MPG. Also Winter oxygenated fuel gets crappy mileage.
Higgin
I have a gutted exhaust and I get around 37mpg if all intown driving or around 42 mpg if its all highway. I hink the lowest I have ever gotten on a tank of gas ws like 35. Might want to check out the thermostat as mentioned above..... good Luck!
