New Idea For Gutting

Has anyone ever used a long Dremel to cut the outlet pipes a couple inches in and then use a 1" hole saw to remove the piece from the back buy cutting between the large and small dia pipes? Any reason this would not work? The 1" hole saw fits just inside the large pipe. This would not only "short cut" the guts, but also give a larger out pipe. Anyone know how far the first plate is from the outlet end. That would be how far in you could cut the out let pipe.

Yep! There's at least one thread about it that Rivcyko pointed out. Just make sure your 1" hole saws all have straight teeth, and plan on going through a lot of them, as you will be drilling through a weld.

Also, cutting wheels for most dremels are more than then diameter of the smaller hole, you'll have to grind them down for a while on something, also plan on going through a lot of cutting discs. And don't even try using a battery powered dremel... Not that I would know from personal experience or anything....
