Member Contributer zx5go Posted May 23, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2008 Can anyone recommend a quality gauge? I'm thinking about holding out for a Motion Pro unless someone has another option. I also want to pick up a Snap-On QDTPMS (valve core torque tool) but the Snap-On site shows zero in stock. Member Contributer teleskier Posted May 23, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2008 accu-gage. Here is one website. You can order direct also. I have round face digital one with long hose. Works great. All of their guages are very accurate...hence the name maybe? This is the direct site to GH Meiser Co. http://www.ghmeiser.com/
Member Contributer zx5go Posted May 23, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2008 I'm going to try the Accutire MS-5510B Racing Tire Gauge. Accurate withing 0.5% and gives readings in 0.1psi increments. I'm also ordering an MS-4350B for the glove box.
Tightwad
Also discussed here, with the same conclusion. Has a link to buy them, price between 16.50 and 20 seems common: http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41445

The Longacre gauges look great and the descriptions discuss the importance of accuracy...to bad they couldn't state what theirs is.
