Guest Pete McCrary
I'm in the process of installing Tightwad's nifty little 4 place fuse box with relay and doing some electrical clean up. Put some thought into it and really made a super clean install. Does the 30 amp fuse in the natural nylon holder just lay in the gap between the starter relay and the rear plastic inner fender or is there suppose to be a holder for it ala the starter relay. I thought it kind of strange that the fuse holder just lays in there and wonder if the previous owner did something. I bought my 2002 VFR used from a guy in Indiana. Another thing Mother Honda - why did you design a motorcycle that uses two different size fuses on the same bike? Mini fuses under the right front panel, ATC fuses at the starter relay. BTW, what is the difference between an ATC and an ATO fuse?
Tightwad
The 30 amp fuse holder has tabs it locks onto on the left side of the starter relay. Mine too was just kinda laying there, because it is a pain to get back onto that holder sometimes. ATO/ATC are interchangable, ATO is a registered Trademark of Littlefuse, Inc. Enjoy that fuse block, I love the size and simplicity.
Guest
I learned this weekend that the "mini-fuses" are designated as ATM fuses.
