Hawk Gt Rear Sprocket Fit 6th Gen Vfr?

Guest ROUSE

Question

im looking for a 44 and 45 rear sprocket for my 07. and im having a hard time finding one, from my distributors.

pbi, vortex, sprocketspecialist. make them. but i would prefer steel and dont wanna pay retail. my distributors(parts unlimited, WPS, TR) say they are on backorder and dont plan on having any in. since there is very little call for them.

so i noticed that the old hawk gt ran a 44. does anybody know if the center bore and bolt spacing on the hawk are the same as the vfr?

thanks

Rouse

Check with these guys. http://www.supersprox.com/

I used on to go +2 on my 5th gen last winter and love it.

You wont get the full advantage of the lighter aluminium center section since he VFR has such a large hub opening but I was having trouble finding a 45 tooth in steel also.

thanks for the link to jt sprockets.

that answers the question about the bolt pattern

hawk gt 145mm bore, 165mm bolt circle

vfr800 154mm bore, 176mm bolt circle

AFAM has specs on there sight but you cant read the fine print on the drawings.

as for the supersprox. i would love to have those. but they dont list them for the vfr.

i emailed them 2 wks ago about it. and have not heard back from them.

i have seen them listed on other sights that distribute them like drivesystemusa.com but its listed for the 5th gen. (bolt holes are smaller 8.5mm vs 10.5mm) but supersprox website doesnt even list that one.

looks like im gonna have to go with vortex direct from the company. sad.gif

wonder if we could get supersprox to make them for the 6th gen. how many of you guys would be interested? they retail around $100 w lifetime warranty.

While not exclusively steel, anyone know about the 45T listed in this pack? How does it compare to aluminum vs steel?

I'm guessing the front sprocket, although being listed as OEM replacement, does not include the rubber doohickey. Anyone confirm or deny? :goofy:

This seems to be the rear by itself...
