If I install a K&N air filter, will the bike run too lean and experience the associated problems? (higher operating temps, surges, etc) I'll stay with the stock if it will present a problem for now,it runs great right now. Member Contributer The mailman Posted January 25, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted January 25, 2008 Mine is one generation behind yours (a '97) but I added a K&N and a D&D pipe with no apparent problems after 5000 miles.
