keny
So I will put on new tires on my modyfied 87 vfr. It has now 120/70r17 front and 160/60r18 rear. I have ordered a 160/60r18 Metz Z6 for the rear. In my pals tire pie there is a new Dunlop D207 in size 120/70r17 (that been in my garage for som time alredy) and a new Pirelli Dragon Super Corsa in size 110/70r17. I have felt a need for a bit faster steering (stock wheels had 110/90-16 front and 130/80-18 rear) and tuogh that I give the Pirelli a try. Smaller front=faster steering. What do you think? keny
Like to inform it speeded up the steering quit a bit. I really like the way it steers again. Ofcorse the smaller oa diameter of the 110/70 instead of 120/70 did help also to get the steering faster.

keny
Did you like anything about the 120 better than the 110? Well I have only one ride on the 110 now. and the 110 is a sport/trackday tire and the 120 was a st tire so I dont know how you can compare, but so far all seems better. My only consern is how the 110 will handle the power of the 320mm dubble brakediscs I have front now.... the 110 also seems to be less pore to find all cracks in the asphalt, the 120 found everyone of them! but can be the tire also, a Taiwan made conti froce.... :idea3: One thing actually that was better whit the 120...the speedo was more precice, now it shows 90km/h when I do actually 80km/h. And also the 120 fill up the space betwen the frnder and tire better... I might try a 120 sport/trackday tire in 120 after this 110 is toased and lower the fork legs slightly... Member Contributer Growler67 Posted April 20, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted April 20, 2007 I run with a 120/60-17 up front instead of the OEM 120/70-17. Just a smidge faster, but with just under 1/4 inch chicken strips, I'm not complaining.
