Joe Foe from Buffalo
Anyone have one or seen one yet on a bike? http://www.garmin.com/zumo/
Guest
Garmin had Kenny Jr. do a couple of laps at Laguna with one of those on the bike. They said that if it worked they were going to put it on the website so people could download it.
Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted July 27, 2006 Member Contributer Share Posted July 27, 2006 Visited the Garmin booth at the MotoGP at Laguna. Did not spend a lot of time there but they had the Zumo. Comments - Screen was very bright - sales guy said it was there brightest yet - Has 3.5 mm lineout plug too which means you you can have stereo MP3 and GPS. Not sure how useful Bluetooth is for MP3. - Factory MC mt (which is included) works with RAM (which is what they used with display). Also comes with car unit/speaker. - No hard drive uses memory plus SD card for MP3 music - Apparently bundled with trip planning software too. - Latest SIRF chip - Waterproof like other outdoor Garmin units - Size about right for a VFR and my Wing. The unit was Cool - GP was Hot!
