FLAF

Dear Newer User,

After coming on board to VFRD one of the first things that you will notice is that there is a spot in your profile to signify if you have signed the FLAF. Then, the next thing you notice is that there is this item which has moved about the country called a FLAF and that it moves about so that users can have a FLAF ride.

By now you have asked the question, "What is the FLAF?" and been told, do a search.

If you've done the search you may or may not come up with what the FLAF really is. You may have an idea but you can never be really sure. This thread is going to tell you what the FLAF is.

The FLAF is a misspelled word for something else but the FLAF isn't really a FLAF, sort of. It is actually something else entirely. It is not actually a FLAF but it is OUR FLAF and many of us have signed it. Therefore, once you have figured out what the misspelled word is you will think you know what the FLAF is. The problem is that the FLAF isn't a FLAF at all and yet, it is still out FLAF and - in the minds of many VFR owners - it is the one true FLAF.

There, has that cleared this up for you?

Now that you have achieved total clarity of thought on the matter you are probably asking yourself, "Why is he telling me what the FLAF is in this forum area?" That is a good question, dear Reader. The reason for telling you here is that it is the least likely place you would look to find out about the FLAF and we, of course, need to make sure that you really did search the forums to find out what the FLAF is. Of course, there is another reason but you'll have to be sure to know that FLAF really is or isn't to know that reason, too.

Ahh, total clarity now, right? Good.

Forgot? Maybe. I was trying to give enough info to figure it out but not add any specific clues. At this rate we might as well tell them about the...
