Titanium2000
The relay was getting power only 7v battery drop on cranking from 12.5 insufficient to start the bike....the starter relay itself was faulty. I too was not expecting both, the relay the garage had was the wrong size for the bike. Turns out the battery was change in 2011 so worn out as well...it has starter the bike all winter... New relay on order old school bike shop, things everywhere. So cleaned all connectors, the starter works from independent 12v. It also had a Data Alarm which is a PIA... Titanium2000
Yes Captain have other good batteries plus bikes, so in knowing that a good battery would not start it, I was chasing forwards of that. Little did I know the battery was so old, as it started the bike over winter..with good pace plus strength.
