  2. Fantastico! I love it. I also found out, accidentally, that Plexis is an excellent degreaser for the tar and black label chain lube that gets on my chrome Microns.

Dualin' my eye! Jon wins easily. That was only my second trip down the Dragon ever so I was happy to have him showing the way.

  6. ONLY ONE MENTION OF THE BT 021! I'm shocked. I loved me Z6s. Two or three years ago it seemed I was one of very few on VFRD that ran them. Now I've been turned on to the BT 021 :491: but only the rear! WARNING-BT021 Front is total crap Get a PP2 for the front instead, but keep the BT 021 rear. this is very similar to what BR is running only slightly cheaper and somewhat fashion faux pas to have a different manufacturer on each end. They are both dual compound tires and the set up is great. Z6s are a great tire for the money but if you can afford just a little more I highly recommend this setup for anyone that has to do some slab with their twisties. Or the BR set up with the PP2 front and PR2 on the rear. I was just able to get a good deal on the BT021 rear and I was already in love with it. The point is dual compound is the way to go. Someone said that Z6s are dual compound... I'm not too sure about that. at least they weren't two years ago.

  9. are you talking about the guard on the up pipe? Or attached to the peg? I bought my bike with Micron exhaust already on it and it didn't have the heat sheild on the up pipe. 17k miles later still no problems with that. And I do like the looks of the pipe that way. If you're talking about the little wing shaped guard on your footpeg? ... well, ya need that buddy. For the twisties! :fing02:
  10. Maybe I'm a little biased but I think VFRD is the perfect group to produce such a thing. I think we have a serious amount of collective experience in the riding safe and still having fun department. My contribution to the list of rules would be: 1. Don't do anything stupid. :goofy: J/K

  12. home sweet home. when were you there? I grew up in a little town down the road from Zion.... love that place. Never gets dull.
  13. very nice! Thats about what I ought to shoot for but my opener sits so nicely in the clear map pocket next to the mp3 player and has a 1" square button. So I haven't been motivated to hide it... but I will soon. Gotta switch to a smaller tank bag so that I can shoot the twisties with some actual form. This mod would actually help improve my riding form! Okay I just found my motivation. :idea3:
  14. The essence of Sport/Tour!! I love that pic. A thousand words of what why and how we do it.
