Hi all, So I've decided to upgrade the bike for long hauls by adding a GPS mount and power outlet to my 2009 ABS. I didn't have any room to mount the power outlet on the inner fairing plastics because the ABS module takes up so much room. I'm working on creating a new mounting bracket to hold either a power outlet or USB, or combination of the two. I'll hopefully be working on the prototype this weekend depending on the weather and other commitments, but here is the solution I have come up with so far. As I progress I'll update you all with pics of the completed project

I bought a brand new VFR800 Standard model about a month ago. I've read through most of the manual but I still have some very basic questions. 1)I'm assuming that there is no fuel manual petcock/shutoff since its fuel injected? 2)Is there a power outlet located somewhere on it? If not, is there a neat/easy way to add one? 3)Since it's the standard model it does not have a center stand. I'm willing to pay the money for a center stand, but not will to take the exhaust apart and all the other stuff that I've read you've gotta do to put the center stand on. Plus, since it has the single sided swing arm, you can't use one of those rear stand things. Does anyone have any ideas for how to fabricate a device for lifting the rear of the bike? Maybe something made out of wood that would lift at the attach points for the center stand? I'm not talking about something that would stay on the bike...just something to keep at home to lift the rear.

I am looking for a spot to put a USB charger on the bike and I found a spot that looks like it may be perfect and I wouldn't have to cut anything. It's on part #64544-MGE-000 and it's on the inside left front cowl. There are two holes and for the life of me I cannot figure out what purpose they serve. I just want to make sure that if I can mount somehting there that I won't be covering something that I shouldn't be. Here is a picture of the fairing: I tried getting a picture from my bike, but it keeps coming out blurry. If you are seated on the bike, look down the front cowl on the left fork tube side. The holes are clearly visible there. So what say you guys, safe spot for a USB charger?
