Since havin a grandkid pop into our lives on a daily basis, we find that we are ready to take a couple weekends off, out of town for long distance ride or few 😜. Thought I would pin this as our start destination is Coeur d Alene, Idaho. I may also be starting work in Salem for a projected 3 year project, but more on that later.

Ready for my trip from western Pennsylvania to Vermont -
I haven't ridden for quite long time, as it was raining a lot. Miss the twisty roads so much, then when the tasks were almost done, rain stops, bike ready... just picked up phone and called friend. Called some guys, but due to short notice and long ride for a day before a full working week seemed not so attractive to most of them. Just two riders at the departure. That's just good enough for a short trip within a day. Departed from home about 04:20AM, it's still very dark. Ridding out of Ho Chi Minh City about 70km, found that it started foggy. More and more foggy along the way. Just recognized that I was using the non-waterproof casing for my GoPro, and afraid that the fog may ingress and cause damages to the Cam. I decided to stop and take it off to put in the saddle bag. Really don't understand why I was so careless to stand the bike on the soft surface. The bike fell down to the right as I was opening the left bag. The bike leaned on the grass, right bag had some small scratches, right handle bar a bit dirty, and the most painful part was the broken of the right mirror. We stopped for breakfast about 6:30AM. The road was much clearer: This 's the coffee shop: The local said the foggy morning is the sign of a sunny day after couple of rainy days. Here 's my friend's bike: This 's "phở" - traditional Vietnamese beef noodle - very popular and very famous meal for anyone who has been in Vietnam: The beef noodle cost 20,000VND ($1.0) and a milk coffee cost 0.4cents. Twisty roads still far ahead...
