I have a set of the old-style Heli-Bars with the 2 pinch bolts per bar (as compared to the newer style with 1 pinch bolt). I checked with Heli to be sure of the torque spec - it is 12 ft lbs per bolt. Maybe this helps somebody some day!

Hey guys, I've been reading a ton of threads on here about converting to superbike or standard bike bars here. From what i've gathered, the LSL setup seems to be the best "purchase" option. I'm looking at drilling the triple tree and installing my own instead (already have bars, clamps, etc in my shop). I should be getting my extra top clamp (ebay find) toady but I have a question. The Question: Will I have to buy a longer brake/clutch line if I do this? I know it will be close but I'm curious if anyone has pulled this conversion off on the 6yh Gen without having changing out the brake/clutch lines. I know the 5th gen guys often use the 6th gen brake lines to make it work so I was wondering if the 6th gen's are already long enough. Anyone tried this? Thanks, Austin
