A kind member from a Dutch forum gave me some chemical&heat resistant shrink-tubing to try and stem the leak on the clutch rod after the regular stuff clearly failed.
But nope, still leaking............ So Satruday it will be Dremel Time!
but at least I did get a test run in today!

Well, the crimp over clutch rod mod proved a temporary fix, she is back to leaking.
So in 2 weeks I will visit The Dutchy for a spot of Dremelthodology..
did treat the girl to some semi-dino; did 4Kkm's on her last year and the previous owner said he'd changed it 1k prior.
Drip drip dripping!

4 celcius today, which IS a wee bit nippy...
Rode to a wrench day/meet, good that I arrived when the burgers were ready :-)
The clutch rod oil leak fix seems to be holding and I do like the RT emulators initial feel. Roads too cold for any serious pushing, but less dive yet planted feel for now. This year I will be experimenting with them. Didnot drill extra holes, will wait if and when a spare set of front forks are at hand.

Once the weather improves, actual riding will tell how good this fix is. Have to wait till 1st March anyway.
If not, Dutchy meet The Dutchy part trois :-)

I also hope it is a case of "me love you long time".......

Known suspect for an oil leak is the clutch pushrod seal.. Unlike the VF750, 1000 and 1100, this seal originaly can only be replaced by pulling the engine.
If you know another trick Bert, please do tell.
The Dutchy gave me a tip to pull the rod and put shrink tubing (the stuff you heat up) over the rod area where the seal would be. Tried that, but it kept leaking. So I put another bit of tubing on top and reassembled once more. But then the rain started. So I will try tomorrow if there is dry spell.
Made myself a nice gin and tonic and call it a day.

That last one and the other old one are along de Vecht, before or after Nigtevencht, I forgot.
Very very narrow lanes with blind corners, grid and sand all over and a larger section the tarmac top layer grated off.... :-)
Ok, a few more piccies then
