Hey All, if you're watching this thread and are interested in getting your own set of headers, please PM me (Duc2V4 or sfdownhill) and we would be glad to send you purchasing information. Those of you who had your name on the list but have not responded to the PM sent last month, check your PM inbox, as I just sent a reminder PM.
Cheers,
D
Has there been any progress on more deposits past the original 5 from a couple of months ago?

Wasn't there a 42mm (non stock) copper gasket located that would help maximize flow?

Beautiful skilled work Seb. This is the VFRR Honda could have built.
I was curious about what gearing your using?

@sfdownhill, to be clear we can go ahead with the deposit, or wait for your PM here on VFRD?

58 pages! I finally got round to reading every page, but then we are sat on a beach in 33°C / 91°F chillin’ with a few ice cold Changs so what better place to while away the hours!
Cheers.
I found the Delkevic washers to be a little delicate and didn't quite make the seal, went back to the Honda washers.
I just put my Erion pipe on and measured the VFRD header OD at just over 49mm. My Erion mid-pipe is slotted but had a 54mm ID. I sourced an exhaust gasket to match off of AliExpress.
RB reading here, worth a few more cold ones.

No, prices are on the first page. Last go around was $1070 complete, that included shipping, passivation & 7.75% CA sales tax for those of us in CA. Wasn't sure if those prices were going to stand or not this time around?

What do you have your engine braking setting set at? I know you have the My Tuning Bike/wideband, but I'm just curious.

Is the engine braking available on the EVO or just the Race unit? Emailed RB.us already, waiting to hear back.

Any ballpark on pricing this go around?

I think I need another 8G style header. I'm not in any rush, just voicing interest for future consideration.

Nah... 3 Celcius ain't cold with proper gear and heated grips 😉
Keep riding! Was about 5 C today but I got caught in fog with under 50m visibility coming home. It's a good challenge. 👍

Also potentially interested in another set.

I just happened to see a set of early 5th gen headers on eBay for a good price. But, yeah, prolly not worth it. There are plenty of other places to put my money on this bike. My carcass is already pretty lean, so got that covered. Track time... Yep, working on it. Thanks for the advice, sounds good.
Some of these guys are pretty nutty, anyway. I don't need to go that fast on the streets. A couple of them collided on a recent run, sending both of them to the hospital. That little mishap almost included me. Luckily, I looked in the mirror before I turned left. The other guy didn't.
I have a set of 5th gen headers I don't need, just a couple of pinholes that need welding up. pm me if interested.

What are you asking for the Ohlins? Interested, pm me.
Seems here in the US fully stock RC's are commanding premium pricing.

He helped me out a couple times with carb parts for my `93. Great info and good guy to work with.

Anyone taken a swing at putting on a set of the new batch of 8th Gen headers? My shop is having trouble getting a good fit of the gaskets. They used the gaskets that were available with the headers. Any feedback or advice on getting these installed leak free?
I ended using a et of the OEM gaskets I had on hand, the included gaskets just would not go in the port without deforming.

I have a PC2 but plan to try out a RB in the future. They replaced a TBros header so it was dialed in pretty well I think. I'll have to check on the hugger, iirc it was from Europe.
edit: Hugger is a Skidmarx from UK, not sure who their US distributor is any more.

Thanks guys, received today. Looks like there may be a TBros header in the classifieds very soon...

Can't you just bolt up an entire VTR front end? Uses same bearings I think?
Oh look....
New 5th/6th/8th gen performance header now in production in USA
