  1. Over the summer, I rebuilt my clutch master cylinder. Recently, the clutch has been slipping under high load, but only when the engine water temp is over 190 F. The clutch lever has zero play no matter how I adjust the thumbscrew on the handle. It makes me think the clutch plates are not fully engaging because the clutch slave cylinder still has hydraulic oil pressure on it. If this is the case, is there any way to adjust this condition? Possibly too much oil in the master cylinder? Maybe the clutch plates are shot and I just don't want to admit it? The bike just rolled past 20,000 miles, I bought it used with 16,000 on it. Any thoughts/advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Looks like a blast! Still riding this same bike? https://www.vfrdiscussion.com/index.php?/forums/topic/66045-urethra-i-found-it/&page=3. Thanks for that topic, just started in on mine and got it going with no Fi light. Probably need to do the full fix just to make it permanent.
  3. Wow, Greg! That's great stuff! Thanks for the link.
  4. Thanks! I thought that might be the case, just wondered what the range should be. Hopefully R&R of the thermostat isn't too tough.
  5. Hi, all! Brand new to this forum. Just bought a '99. Rode at highway speeds with 30F outside temp and the coolant never got over 145F. Stopped at the gas station and let it idle and the coolant rose to 218F. Is this fluctuation normal in cold weather? Thanks in advance!
