Yesterday was a decent sunny day for MidAtlantic/CNJ with some wind and partly sunny 45 degrees F, so I took a nice ride on my local loop to see how the liner on my Astars Andes Drystar worked.  Seems good to about 40 F no issues.  I like the longer cut and coverage over the typical shorter race style jackets, and the textile ‘touring’ fit was very comfortable in the colder weather. My new Held summer gloves (Airstream II) were fine too, my hands really didn’t bother me at all after 60 miles of riding both highway and backroads in cooler weather.  Also the new Shoei (RF1200 Flagger) worked great without the breathguards in place, the pinlock visor system (first I’ve owned) is worth it.  I’d highly recommend any of these items for both hot summer as well as down to cooler fall riding.

Great stuff there, love my helmet.

  2. I’ve wanted to attend but it’s just out of my price range. Im saving for an April trip to COTA. F1 looks so neat.

I saw Petit LeMans with the different race classes all on track at the same time last year and it’s definitely something I would like to regularly attend.

That parking though... smh. It’s 2018 they need to hire a civil that knows the basics about natural parking designs. There are products to keep parking clean on grass, where cars don’t destroy what they drive over.

  3. I’m not an armchair warrior bud, just looking out for my fellow rider. I’ve seen it in many cases where these poor QC levers break on people or don’t have correct machining or design. CRG/ASV obviously create a great product with good QC.

Variable how is the bike coming along just before the cold sets in?

Had Chinese levers on every bike I've ever owned (a lot) and never had an issue. It's a daft internet myth that they're anything other than completely fine for use.

Glad you’ve had good experience. Ever heard of quality control? Some people get some really bad examples 🙂. Some have that nice auto braking feature :lobby:.

Not much going on with the VFR due to the oppressive heat and the fact that I’m still waiting on connector pins from Japan to finish my accessories power relay harness.  Might get a ride in this weekend, fingers crossed on the weather being ‘reasonable’. That said, here’s a recommendation for a good cover if anyone needs one for their ride.  About $75 via AMZN.
