  1. This REI Half Dome is my tent, I use it a lot, it's light, sets up quickly and is perfect for one person and gear, or two and the gear outside under the fly. Love it. My home away from home. The other thing that adds bulk and weight is the sleeping bag, that's why I chose a three season down bag, it packs down very small and is as light as a bag this warm could be. My sleeping bag is made by Marmot. The last thing to make your night comfortable is a three quarter length foam pad. I often sleep much better in my tent than hotel rooms. <a href="http://s372.photobucket{/img]
  2. I think that looks pretty cool, I'd paint the front wheel to match the back. Nice job, unique!

    Busted!

Too bad you got busted. How fast? What was the speed limit? I got busted in Montana doing 85, paid $50 no record, no points. Other than that, I've been lucky cause I drive fast on occasion.
  4. Great write up and pictures. I've saved it to file. How did you know you needed to change them. I have 35 thousand miles on my 2004 and it's running fine, sounds like new. Had the valves done once at about 18 thous.

Here's a thingamabob I made to hold my bags away from the Remus pipes. Easy, no tools works great.

    New Pipes

    From the album: VFR

Need to loosen them up now and rotate them a little. My Remus Titaniums arrived after only two or three days, and were not too hard to put on. Somebody said it only took him a half hour, I bet that was with a fender eliminator because the stock gizmo has to be loosened and moved out of the way so you can rotate the whole stock unit back and down. I like the sound of the pipes, a bit mellower than I'd anticipated, but I've only had time for one short ride and I'll give it another go and see. The sound is rich, I'll say that. Cool looking, and the pipe from the converter up is first class and fits with precision and tightens up much easier than stock. Much nicer looking pipes under the seat, in the Y area as well. I'll be a bitch keeping it looking that good, but I'll try.
