  1. Question re auto-adaptive feature: what's the AFR target? Can it be user-specified? Per cell?

defult is 13.2:1 and yes it can be changed but it changes the entire map AFR values, Should you change it? NO, unless you are on the dyno machine and know what you are doing with the software :) if different afr is needed for different areas , The my tuning bike will help you with that.

    ---------

Does the bypass adapter work with the Evo?

    Yes it does.

    ----------

Does the Evo take a switch, to either switch maps or to turn auto-adaptive on/off?

Yes and map switch will switch between maps not turn it off. However if you have my tuning bike installed, the map switch becomes an on/off switch but I will program and EVO module and see what the map switch does later on, I'll get back to you on this question.

  2. You need to accumulate at least 200 miles on the clock and look at the correction map, if you are not seeing adjustments at the top of the range +15 or -15 then leave it alone it is best that way, however if you do see +15 and -15 accumulating in different areas then "add correction" and forget about it .

PLEASE NOTE: THE CORRECTION MAP IS THE SNAP SHOT OF YOUR LAST RIDE , if the conditions were less than ideal such as very hot and humid day, a lot of stop and go traffic, hot running engine and such, in these conditions even after looking at the correction map and you see some odd numbers, DO NOT PANIC :) RB will correct and constantly be correcting all the time so let it correct itself. And you can always post your screen shots of your auto adaptivity screen here, so we can talk about it as well....

  3. Can Yaman or someone confirm that the (race) VFR_800_VTEC.mpp file included in the Rapid Bike software, identical to what is already loaded in the (race) module?

ie. can I assume I'm preserving a copy of the original mapping if I save that file off to another name for such purposes?

    YES it is!

Not sure as to the cost difference as I bought my Cordona from the Australian distributor.

He is also the RapidBike distributor for down this way.

The Cordona GP unit cost me $309 AUD 12 months ago

Just checking on there web site they are listing the Cordona now at $339 AUD and RapidBike US has the RB GP at $325 USD

At current exchange rates you would be better off going to RB US.

I can help you guys out with the QS purchase as well, $295 + Shipping and since installation will vary from one rear set to another , I will no include a rod or you can tell me general measurements of the rod you need and I can include it so you can trim it for your liking..

  4. Thanks Yaman, I thought from reading RB info that the fuel correction is % change of the open duty cycle on the injector !?

10% is 10% unless someones telling porkies !

I'll try the unit as is with the Vtec map & hope the unit can tune effectively from the narrow band sensors.

yOU ARE CORRECT! what I meant was when you do a copy and paste and highlight entire mapping the values may not go in to the same exact cell in the RB module you you would have to do it cell by cell also sometimes the resolution is different between the two such as tps and rpm increments, that is all.....

without getting into politics here :) not everyones Z-E-R-O map is a zero map. So I am not sure if the numbers would be identical between RB and PC

  6. Hey CR, can you manually make a make in the RB Master software ? Reason I ask is I'd like to copy my PC3 Custom Map injection % figures into RB as a base line, as their base map will be for a stock Vtec engine !

Oh and another thing, will the unit power up on the USB, without being attached to the bike ? So I can do the above in comfort of my office

PLEASE DON"T use PC3 or PCV cell values in RB cells as they may not correspond to same exact value. And yes USB will power up the unit no need to have the key on to make/view the software after retrieving it.

Ok so the harness is all connected and plugged in, the bike starts and runs, however when I connect the usb and try to get a connection on my laptop it says ERROR...TUNING BIKE/RAPID BIKE NOT CONNECTED (20)

??????? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???????

Do you have the right software installed to tune the module? Did you download the master software with your serial number from the instructions?

Are you running windows 8 ? if so please let me know I will e-mail you a usb driver, the problem is simply your PC doesn't have the driver to connect to RB module....

PLEASE keep it in mind that if RB is not installed properly , you bike won't run.......

  7. We received the harnesses today late afternoon, I will be dedicating my all day to program and ship out all 10 systems, Please remember if you have only purchased the harness, nothing will be shipped out without the purchase of the EVO or Racing module ( we still need 10 people to complete the purchase)

    Thank you.

    Y.T.

I hope you're not saying that even if we paid for the harness in good faith (I did), we won't get the harness unless we spend the additional $ for the module? When I pay for something, I kind of expect to get it ...

    ACE

No not it all, we would hope that you would buy the module otherwise why would you purchase something you can't use without the module? if you wish not to purchase the module please request via e-mail that you would just like to get the wiring mailed out to you and no problem at all , I would put your wiring in the mail today.

our e-mail is info@rapidbike.us , please let me know I will be more than happy to mail out your harness by itself . Thank you. and I am sorry if my previous post had caused a misunderstanding.and our phone # 407-277-5557 if you need to call us.

    Yaman

Ah, yes just a misunderstanding then. I do want the cable ahead of time & will email to that effect. My intent is to get the module as well (yes, the cable is not of much use w/o) but this allows me to layout/install the cabling & have it ready for when the budget allows purchase of the module.

Thx for clearing this up, I'm a bit slow I guess :goofy: ...

    ACE

NO PROBLEM. Just let us know when you are ready, we always have plenty of the modules!!! and your price will stay the same since you have already purchased the harness.

And the initial discount has been discontinued but the shipment for the VFR800 systems are free within the USA and we now have a discount code that we can e-mail you upon request for purchasing the whole system, forum members only . Thank you very much.

  11. I stand corrected!

RBUSA: does that include the RapidBike 2/3 programmers? or are Those, the on off switches?

If you have the software and the usb cable , It should work, We started in RapidBike Distributorship here in the states at the end of May ,2014 so any prior products like RB 1,2,3 we are not familiar with however if there is a question, we'll do our best to find an answer for you...

  12. Actually , we can go with 50 rpm increment , when activated , we can choose between 50 to 1000 rpm. Please keep it in mind, over revving the engine comes with some risks and we typically don't go over 500 rpms. And we can always turn off this function or decrease it anytime. But it would have to be done by us or a tuner who has the software.

  13. UPDATE:

Harnesses will be shipping out on Thursday the 25th. , we should receive them on Tuesday or Wednesday. So far out of 17 , 6 of them will be shipping out immediately since we have only had 6 people actually purchased the modules so far . so instead of ordering 25 harnesses I have only ordered 20 since we could't get all 17 paid at nearly same time ... but we do have enough EVO and Racing modules in stock.

  14. Do I need to load a map onto the Rapid Bike for the VFR or will it come with a map for the VFR already loaded?

The base mapping is already done and the rest will be continuously tuned by Dynamic adaptivity function . and the purpose of getting on board with VFR forum for me is to help out and answer all questions. Also with the purchase of the system you will be able to download the free software and see and adjust (if needed) some of the functions as well.

    Thanks

  15. Thanks to all for putting this together,

I ordered the race module, even though I probably won't be using all of its features.

I figure if I want to upgrade later, that this will be the best route.

    Looking forward to install.

My question is has anyone used the master software and how technical is it?

    Cheers

not very difficult, if anyone needs it now, I can e-mail it to anyone who ordered a system, just request it via e-mail , so you can have the opportunity to review it. I have also posted some info on Panigale forum as well here is the link.

    http://ducati1199.com/mechanical-technical/19142-rapidbike-master-pro-software-info.html

EDIT: I meant to e-mail you guys the instructions for the software NOT the software itself which you need the serail numbers to be able to download it. Sorry!

  16. Hi Yaman, regarding the Rapidbike Master software, I assume it comes with the Race unit, or do we need to download it ?

Of course the software is free to download. Each RB EVO or Racing module has a serial number on the back of the module and you will need that number to register and download the software... instructions will be included in the box.

PLEASE NOTE: The software only supports Windows operating system.

  17. Hi Y.T.,
Thanks for the price break on the MyTuningBike module. If I go that route how would I get the discount applied on the website or do I order it through you?
FYI - I have two 5th gen VFR800s... one street and one street/track project. Both of these bikes are NOT listed as being compatible (non-VTEC) with the RapidBike Race VFR800 project. The PowerCommander 5 does not list their unit as working with my generation VFR, but we in the VFR community know that the VTEC version PC5 does work... I'm hoping to figure out any differences and make the RapidBike Race VTEC work with my gear driven cams engine so I'm kind of a Guinea pig for all the 5th gen VFR guys...
If I use the MyTuningBike module do I have to have the factory O2 sensors hooked-up? One of my bikes came with factory O2 sensors, I removed them when I changed headers, and the track bike is an earlier version that did not have O2 sensors.
I will follow your installation on CR's bike... although, he has TBR race headers so mine will be slightly different; I think I can find a good spot at the final header collector for a O2 bung install. Is there a preferred distance, or range where it works best, from the cylinder head that the O2 sensor should be installed?

in the RB Master software we can disable the factory O2 sensors and enable My tuning so at the start up / warming up the RB isn't looking for the O2 sensor signal. I have already discounted the price on the web site, the retail is $325 actually. and it comes with the wideband O2 sensor.

Hi, and thx for making yourself available to answer questions. I just happen to have one question (6th gen here). I have the harness ordered, and am looking at picking up the race module. It is my understanding that this module will come with a standard ignition/fuel map that is much better than stock. Will this map require greater than 89 octane fuel? I ask b/c the stock 6th gen is supposed to run fine on as low as 87 octane. I can't imagine that a higher performance map in the race module would still allow this?

It shouldn't effect where they set the ignition advancing so far out where you would require a higher octane of fuel.

    Regards,

    ACE

Your welcome, and I will try to get back here as often as I can while at work fixing other bikes :)

  18. Hi Guys,

I have just joined the forum , we are Cycle Pro - RapidBike USA distributor (One and only ) our web site is www.rapidbike.us and my goal here is not to promote a product but rather answer questions that are related to RapidBike Racing and Evo modules along with accesories and RapidBike Master software, since 17 of you had purchased the wiring harnesses that should be shipping from Italy on or before Sept. 26th. And I am sure that a lot of you will have some questions and this is the place to spread the information and such...

    Thank you.
