The washer and washer-like part of the hose guide are still there. Just the "wire" part of the guide broke off...but that is a good point. 🙂
Plugs went in easily. The old ones looked and measured fine. I cleaned them up and will keep them for spares. They do have 30k miles on them.
Flapper mod was simple too.
Calipers are cleaned and ready for the new pads; OEM up front and Vesrah in the back.
Still left are brake/clutch flush, coolant flush, pair delete.
Old pad pics coming soon.

Correct. It doesn't seem like it "does" much. I may just cable tie the two lines together as a safety, but the part is NLA from Honda anyway. 43350-MW4-000 - BRAKE HOSE GUIDE. It is a pretty cheesy item from an engineering company.

30k mile service at 29,965!
I took advantage of the gap between the two halves of my migraine days. Tires and wheel clean today. Wax when they dry. It was seriously sucky riding on them with the flat spots and narrow high spots with very limited grip. Too much local riding and not enough at lean!
Gosh, I hate these brake pad pin caps! It took quite a while to get the rear one out. Going to put in the rubber/ plastic ones that the '00 has in it...and in the CB-1 when it is time to touch those brakes.
Hope to get to the caliper piston cleaning and brake flush in the next week when the migraine is gone. And to measure the pad thickness remaining. There's more than I thought considering they only come with 3.08mm new.
I can't tell you how many times this has broken off. Any idea why? And do I really need it if it has been running fine broken? (The broken bit is from the rear caliper pin cap...)
Up next are cooling system flush, flapper mod, PAIR delete, ground block check, plug check after 30k miles...and chain maintenance cycle (clean/adj). It'll be nice to have it all done!

You need fuel, air, and spark. Have you checked those systems completely?

So...on a ride recently I went though a strange rotary. I knew my route, yet was unable to find it on Google Maps when I got home. Maps is behind. Because I'm me, this sent me on a journey where I found (drumroll, pahlease):
This Frackin' Awesome Site!
https://roundabouts.kittelson.com/Roundabouts/Search Hit advanced search and enter your criteria (route #, road name, city, whatever). Now you can plan your routes going from roundabout to roundabout. Most of the ones here in NC are ridiculously small and perfectly round. The ones in MA were HUGE! Now you can search by crazy things like including driveways, 3 lanes, intersection with highways, and so much more.
Here's the one I was looking for from the plans I found online. Strange shape, for sure.

And...Magic Roundabouts...really.
On a ride related note, I've been trying to hunt down low water bridges, without much luck. I'm waiting for a NCDOT person with a pulse to get back to me with a list of locations. Wish me luck.

That is very likely because the wires were corroded inside of the sheathing...so a new connector didn't solve much except for lightening your wallet.

Yesterday:
And found the low water bridge I've been hunting for.

"8th gen, you are dead to me! " Pah-toey
I'd love to hear a comparison from the Tracer to the 5th gen. A tracer is the one bike I think I'd buy right now if I had to. the newer style bikes are hideous, IMHO. But that triple engine is lovely!

I wish that I knew it was actually happening! I was out there. 🙂

You're making good choices so far!

The best color, obviously. Nice work!

I've been asking this question for a few years. I run OLD Passports in everything. They're great in the country, but in the city around cars they false a lot. the new Reline is excellent, by all accounts, but $800 plus a kit for each vehicle? Harumph...

Probably meant kill switch. Look. Clean. Test. Try again.

We'll be out tomorrow after the rain today running around NC 80, Roan, etc.

Do regular cars fit on roads that narrow? 🙂

If this ended up happening, have fun, guys!

All websites post delivery times like that. I've been trying to order tires for a week from places who list them as "in stock" only to have orders cancelled because no one has stock. They all shop from the same place that has...no stock. Now they're saying end of the month for new stock. At least I'll get current date codes! 🙂

To my untrained eyes...they look the same.

Perhaps something has eaten some wiring?

Most pads still had some life left in them, but going all new and saving them for spares.
Plugs looked pretty good. I don't think that I've ever looked at them...
Flapper mod was fun to find something to block the valve. The hose was simple, of course.
