  1. Mine is the opposite. It seems to only do it in warm weather. In the cold it always starts up with a high idle and then gradually comes down as it warms up.
  2. I have recently noticed that when I first start my VFR the idle is around 1000 rpm and there is a knocking sound. I assume the knocking sound has something to do with the low idle since the knocking sound goes away once the bike warms up and the idle returns to normal (1200 to 1400 rpm). Could this be a sign that the starter valves are out of sync? Other than this, the bile runs great.
  3. I looked around and couldn't find much on this subject so I thought I would post this picture of a tab I made to work with my seat cowl. It's just a piece of plastic I had laying around from some blinds I purchased and Gorilla clear epoxy. We'll see how long it holds.
  4. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is but if I lived in the area I would definitely be checking it out. Might be somebody who just needs fast cash.
  5. I replaced mine with a K&N. Held the old one up to the light and couldn't see any coming through so it was pretty bad. I also did the air box mods while I was in there. I've read different opinions on the difference the mods make but IMO the difference was definitely worth it and noticeable. Really seemed to smooth out the throttle control in 1st gear and love the sound too.
  6. I am considering becoming a rider coach. How difficult was it to get a sponsor and how did you go about finding one?
  7. Just replaced the air filter on my 07 and it wasn't as ugly as I thought it might be bad bad enough.
  8. I just had a set of these put on my VFR and I must say they feel weird to me. Grant it, my Michelin Pilots had big flat spots on them which is going to make a huge difference. They turn into the curves nicely but sometimes it feels like the bike is trying to straighten itself back up almost like its fighting me a little. This might be due to being used to those old worn out tires or maybe it's all in my mind. I've tried to make sure the forks are aligned as best I can but it still feels strange to me when turning. Any ideas?
  9. Do you have a photo of where the tab slots inbetween the cables? Thanks, Here's a pic from underneath. You can see the square plastic piece in between the two cables.
  10. Here are a couple of pics from mine which I installed a couple weeks ago. I really had no issues whatsoever.
