Rode another 102 mile commute, some of it in freezing rain, with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Hi Skids,
Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation.
Thanks VFRDiscussion

I said thank you to my 800X as I gave her another wash (3rd this week I think) for completing another week of 100+ mile commutes without a falter, in comfort and relaxed progress and hoped that she felt good after her 16k service & new c&s.
I patted the tank on my 1200F and told her to stand fast and don't worry, the better weather is coming.....sometime.

Another thumbs up for Mello Dude's block-off plates. I fitted them to my 08 6th Gen about 2 years ago and the bike was definitely smoother without the PAIR system.

Nutjob in Ireland.
You'd need to translate the Lithuanian website bikepsarts.
This Swedish site has it listed.
This Czech website.
German ebay site.
Russian site.
Just the first 2 pages of a Google search. I'm not recommending or saying any of these are reputable sites, just linking to the Google search I made.
Hope you find one.

I find those guys expensive
I've never used them so thanks.
The link was for the part numbers.

Here.
Probably Euro-model but probably mostly compatible with rest of world.
Apologies if already posted elsewhere.

I don't like the flushmounts.
We're invisible to cars as-is!!!
The one thing has worked biggest for being seen, for me, has been LED lights, especially the aux LEDs I fitted to the Crossrunner.
I know aux lights probably wouldn't work so well on an RC51, but fitting replacement headlight bulbs, whether bi-xenon or LED, would be worth considering imo, if you're not already doing that.
Just a thought.....beautiful bike btw.

Available for most European models post 2002. Not for download but can be printed (you can print to pdf or One Note if you get my meaning). There is a cost per session but if you do it right, you wont need to pay again.

Anything that will smooth out the often poor low-rev fuelling on the 6th Gen is a good thing imo.
PAIR block-off helps, as does O2 elims & flapper removal, plus a clean zorst (and I don't mean recently washed) & cleaning the injectors.
Whether doing this will cure your problem you'll probably only find out if you do it, so because it's a good mod, just do it.

Bought & fitted a pair of red LED taillight bulbs to my 6th Gen. Pics don't really do it justice but they definitely seem to be more intense than incandescent so I'm happy.
First pic is of LED fitted to the top, incandescent to the bottom. Angle of shot may have affected picture but definitely more visible to the naked eye. 2nd pic is of both fitted.

Available in the UK too. Hmmmmm.........

Had mine done Saturday.
Still smooth & quiet.

I'm sure if you ask or book a test ride they'll sort it. I just took what they had as a courtesy bike.
Mechanic didn't say anything about waiting for stock, they booked mine in as soon as I called.
No, I asked them to call me so I can arrange a better day for me when I know they have the part in.

Yep, booked it as soon as the phase 2 notice arrived. Mechanic at Norton Way reckons it only takes him 40 mins now.
Yep NC750, wasn't offered a choice. Glad I didn't have too far to go
I've asked them to call me to arrange the work once they have the parts in stock.
I quite fancy trying the new Crossrunner.

Mine was replaced yesterday and is as smooth as a smooth thing. Then again it was before they put the new shaft in
And having ridden around on an NC750X for the day while they did it I'm reminded of just how awesome the 1200 is
I wondered whether you had as I got back from Paris to find the "Phase Two" recall notice in my mail.
NC750? Was that all they had?

It will be interesting to see the beam patterns of both low & high beam.
-
Actually m8, they're just offered to collect it.
No mention of a charge yet, so better wait and see.

I checked with the Honda UK website today and my bike is recalled. I've not received anything in the post but then I'm away so it may have arrived and Mrs Skids not told me.
May have to arrange for my bestest best buddy ever, good old Royston Rocket 2 to take it in for me. He's such a good bloke you know; tall, handsome, selfless, always there for his mates, nothing too much trouble to help a m8 out - you know the type, one in a million!

Every VFR1200 I have ridden with the exception of the press release bikes have had a low frequency harmonic thrum emanating from the drive line.
I'm going to looking out for that every time I ride now. Git.
Seriously, never noticed anything like that in my meagre 3500 miles.

I contacted Honda Korea, they said shaft propeller should come into dealerships in Korea starting in Mid February 2016. I will get reimbursement for any work done to the shaft drive prior to the recall.
That is good news!
-
Dae, there's no mention of mileage being a factor in the Australian recall paperwork so there probably wont be in the Korean either.
Are you going to ask about refunds for previous failures?
-
Have we discovered if they are saying ALL VFR1200s are affected by this or only ones that fail a check (which check? There isn't one in either of those downloads, just replacement procedure)? Or is it only certain years or is it by a check?
I was in Norton Way Letchworth over Christmas and asked both at the service desk and Steve in the showroom. They both still claim to know nothing about this! Be interesting to see what happens next in the UK / Europe.
At least mine isn't being ridden and hopefully by the time I get back, it will all be sorted.
If there's a time limit on the recall, I may have to ask you to take it in for me.
No worries, I've been using yours since you went anyway ;-)
Don't even joke about it!
What did you do to your VFR Today?

I thought I was up early this morning! Yikes!
I wear a Rukka Armax suit, thermal liner in the trousers. Altberg Roadrunner boots with New Zealand Merino Wool socks, Richa Cold Protect GTX gloves, Keis heated fleece, Merino Wool & Under Armour base layer, OEM heated grips (crap), Barkbuster BBZ handguards. Keis heated jacket is plugged via a lead to the OEM accessory socket under the seat.
