The last thing I read was NO there bike's all ready met all states emissions's standards.
In other words all of the 6th gens that were sold were all the same no matter what state they were sold in .

Mine would pop after idling for a while . But not now block out plates installed ..
What engine modifications did you have prior to installing the plates?
Sorry Spud did not see this question . None the bike had 1236 miles when I purchase it . And at first the bike had no problems but after 8000 or 9000 miles it started and got worst . I did the marble trick and purchase the A&A plates.
When i removed the pair valves the metal diaphragm was crack on both heads.

shoulda mentioned I swapped the plugs after it failed in the 4th session.
do the coil packs fail inherently or is that not likely?
heat seems to make a difference too.
No not normal but your bike has been experiment on so that is possible.
What did the old plugs look like ? Normal ?
Does it have a PCM fuel controller ?

When's the last time you check the air filter?
If the filter good and since this bike was used to supercharge I would pull the plugs next.
Two things to check for on the plugs.
1. Make sure they are right one's, because sometimes they run a colder plug.
2. Electro is wore out and the gap will be wrong .

Check your voltage at the battery and then check it running and check the voltage at 5000 rpm .
First sign that my stator was failing was a weird miss.

I just compress enough to spin the bobbin. The first time I done it mine they
where completely lockup .

Oh yeah I clean them once a year and does help. Also 3M the rotor's.
