  1. Ladies and Gentlemen

If your wanting to install sliders like radar/ken but are afraid to cut fairings ( like me) trust me when i say if Ken can do it anyone can

Once again nice work on the install, looks like a quality product

THanks Dude - with friends like you, who needs enemies? And for the record I'm not as big of an asshat mechanic as my good friends would have you believe, however I do still need a lot of help figuring out all this two wheel mecanix stuff....

For my next trick, I will coerce Dude and MCrew to "Assist" me in changing my sprockets and chain!!!

Agreeed you are not the asshat mechanic you lead us all to believe you are. I see your theory , tell us you suck at mechanics, sit on a chair with a beer and a flashlight while we do the work!!!!! Brilliant!!!!! We are on to you now Ken :goofy:

Crew get's the flashlight and the chair, I get the beer (sleemans plz )

Let us know when your doing the chain and sprockets cuz ahem we will be there to help anyway we can

  2. Comical is how I mught describe it......  I haven't figured out a graceful way to do it yet - but it is tricky to not bang the top box with the foot thats swinging over.  I think the centre stand needs to be used, put the left foot on the peg - climb up and over.  I'll see how that goe s- hopefully get out this weekend,

KKKen you could carry a small ladder in the top box so when getting on and off (the bike) you would have no problems. :lurk:

  3.

    AHA! The sickness begins!

To help with the symptoms, we need you to start a new thread in the "Modifications, Check THIS out" forum. Immediately. Detail all of the mods you want to do and we will help you spend more money and time on them with all of our suggestions.

Remember, we're only here to help. Think of us as your VFR 12-step addiction program!

    :goofy:

  4. I don't see how this could've had such an effect.  If your oil level is now much higher than before it would tend to make your spring rate more progressive since the air volume is less.  However, the air volume (unless very small) should have a near-negligeable effect on your sag.

I'm ordering some 0.95 or 1.0 kg/mm Race Tech springs tomorrow.  No matter how far off my oil level may (or may not) be, it can't bring me from 50+ mm of sag with full preload, to 35 mm of sag with very little preload (preferable).

Just reporting what it did for me fallzboater.

  5. Fallzboater

I had the same condition, preload cranked all the way to get desired sag setting. Disassembled forks, check spring free length (within spec) reassembled with 10 wt synthetic amsoil now have 3 lines showing with 35mm sag :goofy:

I would suggest doing the measurement from top of cap to oil level rather than the oil measurement method as some oil will remain in cartridge unless you do a total disassemble which i didnt.
