  1. Hey Belfry! Thanks for this nice ride report. Glad to hear you had a good time riding south and getting lost. All part of living and enjoying riding. Who needs them steenkin' GPSs anyways!! That "M" up Sentinel Mountain seems like a 15 min gentle hike up that mountain. Are you sure you weren't drinking when you said you looked at it??!? ........................ Was nice meeting you too. Cheers mate! C
  2. Made it home a few hours ago. No idea how many kilometers, what the average fuel consumption was, what the max seed was --ahem.... better that way... All I know is that I had fun, and that it was great seeing everyone again. Sorry to those who I did not talk very much. I will try harder next time. Thanks again Mike, that was a great event. And, as Thumper said, let me know if the books do not balance and I will pitch in for sure. Cheers!!! Christian
  3. I swear officer, I do not know that guy! It just happens that he has been following me since Chilliwack, but I have never met him!! Hehehe C Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Well if no spooning then forget it!!!! I get lonely at night... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So, if we hit anything along the way, qe should strap it onto our seat and bring it over to Nelson??!? I will pack extra bungee cords... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Something shiny for one, rubber for the other. You definitely have set a good relationship for both....... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well, in order to: a. reduce the amount of work for the Organizing Committee (that is you, Mike!!), b. to still give lots of flexibility to people arriving early or late, Why don't we get our own food at the bar as Randy suggested? Night 2 could be more of a group event. Just my own opinion.... Thanks, Christian
  8. Yeah, ok, the more I think about idea (a) above, the stupider I think it is. It will be visible and would require another hole in the fairing. Sigh. Sorry, forget it. Was trying to avoid drilling through a bolt. BTW, is there any company that makes bolts pre drilled? Should someone not have needed that by now? Just wondering... Christian
  9. I have very, very little practical intelligence for things like this, but I will venture one or two ideas anyways (feel free to shoot them down): a. could we drill a small hole on the "inside" of the mirror stem, the inside of the curved part and, if there were another hole in the fairing right next to the mount, that would remove the need to drill the bolt? Opposite to where it is coming out now on the stem?? Top of the stem on the 1st and 2nd pic on your previous post?? Maybe it would weaken the fairing too much? Not sure... b. is there any way to get a very thick soft washer to put under the bumps on the mirror and eliminate the need to grind them down? Maybe that would also secure the mirror to the mount if the washer acts as a soft surface to stop it from rotating? Something as soft as a rubber o-ring type if thing? There you have it, have at it and destroy as you wish. But I just want to reiterate that I thank you, Wgregt, for taking all this time to try and figure it out for us. Christian
  10. Waiting very optimistically... thanks wgregt...
  11. Hahahaha. Yup!!!! You will make billions of Euros!!!! Not to mention other perks... C
  12. Thank you. Much appreciated. If I ever meet you in person I will buy you one beer. Two. Maybe three. Oh heck!!
  13. You know, for what it's worth, I wouldn't mind giving Wera's guys a shot at it. The design should not be picked up by anyone else. And, just for the record, at $180+, it is well over $200 for me in Canucks dollars, plus boots and shipping. Would be close to $300 actually, about $150 a side. This being said, it is your call but I want to say again that we appreciate all the time you have put in this project. C
