Absolutely awesome to see one complete.

Shorter exhaust? Looks good. Maybe a new wax too? And the house in the background?

First thing I noticed. OOOOHH! Shiny.

IIRC, buried somewhere is a thread about someone using GSXR throttle bodies on a 750. I'm pretty sure the two engines won't swap over though.
-
Is it supposed to be set to drip on the middle of the chain?
-
I am taking a break from street riding all together and I wanted to slow things down. This pretty much guarantees it.
Umm.....definitely going to be going slow in that. Looks like it'll have trouble going up a driveway, let alone a street.

Dang Yoshi...
Is that a 929/954 rear set with caliper, bracket, hose and master cylinder?
Have we been bidding against each other? I got mine in this past week...
Nope. It's a set of woodcrafts + goodies from a 675.
-
I don't know what happened. I was just sitting here looking around, when BAM, got another parts bill...
-
Big disappointment on the parts collection. RSVR front wheel weights 10.5 lbs.
-
You're not using your magnesium swingarm for this are you? I probably wouldn't want to do any drilling to that system.

.........................Dino?

I liked the 750 V4 Kart video that popped up after I watched the sand drag video. That would be a kick.
I think a 400 VFR engine would be enough for a cart :comp13:
The engine isn't too big. The cart is too small.

:lurk:
There are a load of threads on this. What are you looking at doing?

One more batch of parts off my chest
-
Yeah, it's Soggy Thirds. All the parts that you couldn't use on sloppy seconds and need to get rid of, plus whatever I pick up to complete it.
And you're going to paint it green & white, right?
 :goofy:
You mean something like this
-
Nope, I bought a very nice stock R1 fender (that I will paint red to match) for $15.
I don't know how you always manage to find a better deal than me. I had to pay a whole $16 for mine. :goofy:

Picked up another part for the project..
Yosh, does anyone even know what your project is yet?
Yeah, it's Soggy Thirds. All the parts that you couldn't use on sloppy seconds and need to get rid of, plus whatever I pick up to complete it.

Picked up another part for the project..

So the Ducati monster/848/1098/1198 eccentric will fit in the VFR swingarm? I didn't think it would work at all.
-
It would be so sweet to get the specs on that axle adapter... I've got 4 brand spankin' new CNC mills to program... ^_^
C'mon Sebastian. Just find a damaged 6.0 Ducati wheel and measure the offset. Buy a Ducati spindle off eBay for the measurements there, and combine the two to make the spindle adapter. I estimate the offset spacing on Carrozeirra's adapter to clear the VFR's rear caliper and centre the wider Ducati wheel to be about 6.35 mm. Turn one out of something cheap like plastic or wood to test fit and you're off :fing02:
It's sort of been done already. Matt did it on one of his 4th gens using triumph guts and a monster wheel.
-
Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Can't wait to see the final results. Looking good so far.
-
I weighed the 4th gen VFR swingarm at 26.6 lbs. That was with all of the guts (rotors, hub, sprocket, ect.)
How much does the 900RR swingarm weigh?
Triumph Speed Triple swingarms weighs a portly 37 lbs. Good thing it won't fit on the VFR.
-
How close is the 1098 subframe to fitting? Looks like it isn't too much work to make it fit.

It's been a while since I've done anything with this, so I took the time today to do a major update on it.
I moved all the pictures from Flickr to Photobucket. There are several reasons I did this. Big two were photo limit on flickr and ease of organizing photos on PB. The link has been updated in the first post.
I've added a slew of photochops and custom jobs since I last did anything with the thread.
I've also organized everything by generation instead of having one album with everything. The Misc album is where I am putting body conversions and other work that doesn't clearly fall in one category.
Hopefully I'll keep a better tab on this stuff in the future and do updates more often than one a year.
Enjoy.
