Yeah, they make a nice change.
Dallas did me some SP-2 decals that I had on my Frankenviffer, before I got one of them all scratched up they looked great.
-
Great to see it all back together, well done on a great project.
I may have missed it, but is the front fender staying that colour color?

5th Gen is sooo much easier. 194 LED wedge bulbs, got mine for $17aud delivered for 8. You only need 5.
Check this out from fleabay, its where I bought mine from:

I would suggest that a lot (but not all) of the "my VFR runs hot" babble that goes on is because we have a digital temperature readout instead of a dial. Now we are more conscious of the numbers instead of the hand on a dial hovering around about there somewhere
-
Nice, but where are the indicators?
-
I just went to order some of these for my 5th Gen and almost fell off my chair $30USD for shipping to Oz
I shall continue my search for a supplier closer to home...
[edit] found some on fleabay, 8 for $17 delivered

GM holden make an extended cab Ute.
Will look for a piccy.
you can even get a souped up version, 300kw+ V8.
-
Yes mate, well done, when does "you know who" take delivery?
-
No worries mate, you can't rush these things, take your time...

I cant comment on ease of fitting, but after following Roy and Kirby for a few days I can say the headers look very good, and sound great. Kirby's bike with Staintunes sounds louder than Roys with the Lasers, but not by much. Roys sounds more refined, not so raw and raspy.

I can answer the brakes question.
Fronts get replaced by 1 braided line each from each caliper to a double banjo bolt on the front master cylinder.
For the rear, you can get another double banjo and take the line that goes to the PCV under the seat, and put this to the rear master cyl. Or you do this with 2 braided lines.
Then you can yank the PCV and the hard lines from front to rear that run under the tank.

well done Mr. Bling, cant wait to see it next week.
I think we'll have 4 frankenviffers and 1 frankenbird on the one ride

All files can just sit on the SD card, or in the MP3 folder of the Zumo.
the key to zumo displaying titles, artist etc is all in the Id tags of the mp3 files. If you right click on the file in Windoze Exploder, choose Properties, choose Summary these are the id tags of the file.
Zumo will allow groupings based on Artist, Album if these are filled in right.
You can edit these tags, or use some shareware to do it en masse (google it). Or get these right when you ripped the music in the first place (for backup purposes only of course!)
Cheers

Hi zumophiles,
While i wait for my registration at Zumoforums.com to get approved, does anyone know how to get the zumo to re-index the MP3's?
The reason I ask is I copied some songs over to the Zumo's SD card, then realised they didn't show up in the artist list right, so I renamed them but they still dont show.
Is there a way to get zumo to recognise the new name, or does it base it on the id tags of the mp3 file itself? Maybe I just answered my question
Cheers
Adam

looks like a 34C to me rather than a 46DR
-
Ahh, I see you just needed the race... looking forward to seeing some pix...
About the only thing I think I need to do to mine is get a CF front fender, spotted some on fleabay for $149 usd, $35usd post to Oz. The one I have now is a red one with a slight battle scar from when I bought it.
-
umm, you dont need a top bearing for an RC51 for your front end swap, you need the VFR one.
I have a SP1 steering stem in my set up, I have a lower tapered roller bearing for an SP1, and a upper tapered roller bearing for a 99 VFR. Just in the lower you need the circlip thingys as described by Rob a few pages up there ^^^

Can i be granted Moderator status so I can sanction The Phantom for posting an "update" using just 2 emoticons? Come on, thats just weak!
Cant you at least move the bike an inch in the rig, shift some dust around, move a spanner, then take a new picture? Thats more prgress than a +1 smiley!
In fact, I'm adding another beer to your tab, you owe a few now!
-
Found a link to the photos from where I had downloaded them...
-
Let me repeat, its not my bike so I dont have paint code details or anything! Sorry.
But it sure is nice, below are some more pix, and an original RC30 to compare the lines. I'm trying to track down the original email that an OzVFR mate sent out.
Enjoy! :idea3:

Coz he sold it to another mate of ours, who now has a FrankenBlackbird

Agent, its a big hunk of plastic, no metal frame. Just mark it and cut away with a hacksaw/dremel, then sand the edges, thats what I did and I like it.
