Gusrus
Recently bought a 92 VFR 750. The fairings are in need of some TLC and one fairing section, the V section between the fairing sides is completely missing. Third gen fairings are elusive and expensive. I’m looking at doing a DIY fairing by firstly making a CORREX template of the shape and tags and then using this to make a fibreglass version. I’m not sure what fasteners I’ll need or the amount of them and I’m not sure the best method of turning the correx sheet into a fibreglass component. Anyone on here familiar with fibreglass and what fasteners I’ll need to hold the finished article in place? cheers
Member Contributer JZH Posted May 17, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted May 17, 2019 I was planning on simply replacing that panel with some stainless steel mesh, retained by the OEM fasteners, but admittedly I haven't progressed that idea very far. Good luck. Ciao, JZH
