DIY V Fairing

Recommended Posts

Recently bought a 92 VFR 750. The fairings are in need of some TLC and one fairing section, the V section between the fairing sides is completely missing. Third gen fairings are elusive and expensive. I’m looking at doing a DIY fairing by firstly making a CORREX template of the shape and tags and then using this to make a fibreglass version. I’m not sure what fasteners I’ll need or the amount of them and I’m not sure the best method of turning the correx sheet into a fibreglass component. Anyone on here familiar with fibreglass and what fasteners I’ll need to hold the finished article in place?

cheers

I was planning on simply replacing that panel with some stainless steel mesh, retained by the OEM fasteners, but admittedly I haven't progressed that idea very far.  Good luck.
