I don't know the official reason, but speculation has been that it is like a cheap traction control. There is an ECU flash by Don Guhl that is absolutely worth the $375. Gotta make room for other toys like the new kayak. Plus the Tesla on order is larger than my Miata, and I can't fit everything in the garage! So need both space and funds for the Tesla!
