rallen0223
So ladies and gents I've finally started. For some back story if got a red 1995 Vfr 750 with about 23000 miles on it in 2014. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it before my accident anymore but you all know what one looks like. Towards the end of the summer I hit a groove in the road causing a speed wobble that resulted in me laying the bike down. I had some skinned up palms for a couple months and the vfr sustained left side damage The left side fairing and a chunk of the front fairing were ground down pretty good Ground down the bar end and broke the mirror Luckily I didn't much like the overall look anyways so I was a tally kind of excited to have an excuse to tear it apart. The summer of 2015 I started deconstruction. I took off the fairings, headlight, taillight, turn signals, and gauge cluster. 2015 left the bike looking like this. I decided I wanted to go with a mix up of a zx10 and a vfr. I haven't decided if including going to go naked or not yet but I know I wanted the tail end gone. This is my first time ever attempting anything like this so there's been a lot of reading and triple checking before I detach anything. A month ago I started picking at it but in the last couple days I've really worked on it. I pulled the gas tank off and any seemingly unnecessary wiring I pulled the air filter apart and checked the carbs but when I pulled the air filter off I found something weird and comical And poked around some more. I wasn't sure if I wanted to remove the exhaust yet. I fought with myself for a couple days about it and decided it isn't going on the road so today I bit the bullet and pulled the subframe off and the exhaust and this is where I'm at at the end of the day The next project is getting money for parts and figuring out what I'm going to do with that ugly ass wiring. It's too much to hide behind the headlight I'm getting but I've got time to think about. I'll obviously post back as things progress. I don't have too much time in the day to work on it so posts might be spaced weird but I promise you guys will be the first to see everything as it unfolds and I'm sure I'll be asking a billion questions so check back regularly thanks much and I'll talk to you guys soon. rallen0223
I'm back again already. I've been looking around online and I've found a couple video pertaining to building your own crash cage be a use buying sliders or a pre-built cage for this bike is much more than I expected and in very limited quantity. Any suggestions? This is approximately the measurements and outline of the cage. It might change depending on if I go naked or if I put some plastics on it

rallen0223
I like that bar underneath. Maybe I'll do that with two connections to the actual frame and connection between all points Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
