Member Contributer VFGRERR Posted September 2, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 2, 2015 I had the Zero Gravity touring shield on my 5th gen and found it just as useless as the original Honda. Ended up fitting an adjustable MRA screen, bloody awesome bit of kit, highly recommend them. Great in summer where your can adjust the flow low for cooling and great in winter where you can adjust the flow high on your body to avoid being frozen. The design of the adjustable wing on the screen produces clean (laminar) air flow , which aids in preventing that annoying buffeting when riding in strong side winds. RazorWing
Just to let y'all know how it worked out. RazorWing sent me his old Givi screen and it is what I wanted. Much quieter around my helmet at 60-70-80mph even with arms straight on the helibars. So I can't compare it to the MRA or the Laminar Lip but the Givi seems to be a big step better. And it looks like I'm out a GIVI screen too. He seems to have just vanished. Stoped responding to PMs almost a month ago and not heard anything... Live and learn I guess. PorscheBob
I had a long satisfactory experience while using a Givi, Product SKU: D200S, windshield. It has the curve on top for touring. Mine had a "slight tint" in color. The fit and quality was perfect! Cost is $127.00. Here is the website . . . http://www.giviusa.com/my-motorcycle/honda/vfr800-99-01/d200s-windshield-detail
highsider989
I'd go for the laminar lip, at 80 bucks not bad.

PabloVFR
Hi guys, I have finally managed to purchase and install Madstad universal windshield mounts, along with a LSL tour bar. :) Here are some pictures... There were several ideas on how to mount the madstad bracket, but my friend (he did all the welding) and I figured out a neat solution to weld two metal stripes just bellow the plastics, so that the madstad mount can be bolted directly on it. If I want to go back to the original windshield, I can just unscrew the madstad mount and put the old windscreen back easily. Now I am left to add a windshield and the one that I think will work best is the Puig racing windshield for Ducati Multistrada 1200 from 2013 onwards. It seems just about right regarding its size, plus they have a taller version of it, so going forward I can get that one as well and mount it when I want to go on longer trips. https://www.motovationusa.com/mvstore/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1944 I'll add more pictures once I get the Puig screen. Cheers!
