That's funny. I had put on a tall ST screen for some long distance touring and just re-mounted the original and now I feel like there isn't one on at all. I don't think I've seen anyone that makes a shorty version. Most manufacturers offer stock, slightly taller, and tall sport touring versions. I would think masking a stock screen with some heavy tape front and back and then lining out a shorter profile with a pen, followed by a nice easy pace with a scroll saw would work well. Buff that edge and be on your way!

i cut my stock screen down using a method similar to the one because the buffeting was bad. After cutting it down the wind would hit me in the chest instead of the neck where it was causing trouble. I have since swapped out to a taller touring screen, but the stock cut down was better than stock for my case. I marked the cut line with masking tape, cut the screen with a pneumatic reciprocating saw (like a jig saw), then sanded & polished the cut edge until it was smooth.
