My buddies GSXR600 and Kawi 12R are both normal hooks that you can hang the helmet strap on, but on the VFR I have to use that crazy cord? wera803 Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I don't have an 8th gen, but lost the helmet locks when I put Beetle Bags on my 5th gen. I ended up going with bar end locks and have been happy with them. It is another key to carry, but I have the Beetle Bag key too, so they go together on a ring and in the bags while riding.
