Member Contributer Dutchy Posted August 21, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted August 21, 2014 Got me a set of clutch plates for my 4th gen from someone who had it lying around long after he got rid of his bike. I verified that the part # are indeed for the RC36. got 2 questions: - I measured the thickness, the 8 (A) plates and measure 2.7-2.8mm, the 1 one plate (B) 3.0mm They are "dry" so before use, I will soak them in oil for a few hours. Q: will this soaking make the material "swell"? so that the "A" plates gain thickness? 2nd question the "A" plates have on one side a little semi circle "cut out" does it matter which side the place face? the side with the notch towards the engine? should all plates have be fitted with the cut out section in the same place? PS: thanks to Seb's clear clutch cover, changing plates will be a breeze (when the time comes)
