Guest jsayer
It would be great if someone can help. Last night some cretin stoll the battery off my VFR 800 2003 model. They somehow forced the seat off ( it is still locked on to the bike) and cut the leads to take the battery. A mindless act that has caused a load of hassle and damage and surely a second hand battery is of little value. When removing the battery they have clipped the wires off rather than unscrewing the bolts on the terminal. The wires are still long so essentially new terminal attachments could be put on there. But I am wondering whether its easier to buy replacement battery leads for the bike? Are they soemthing that can be easily fitted? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Beck
That used to mostly happen just to cars and trucks. Sad to see that MC riders are getting so desperate that they will do it to a bike..... You should be able to find the right sized replacement crimp-on "eye" terminals for your battery cables at better stocked car parts shops, or even Radioshack. Try those first before spending much more for a battery wiring harness from Honda.
DfnsMn69
Or just spend the $50 and put a VFRness from Wire My Bike on it and solve several issues all at once,
