STrider
Recently purchased the OEM panniers for my Gen 6 and I'm curious about the purpose of Bracket C. Bracket B doesn't connect to it and the instructions don't show anything else connecting to it. I've also hit a snag as my bike had been modified by the previous owner with the fender eliminator kit, where the plate and light are tucked right up high inside the well and they shortened the number plate light wire. Looks I'll need to add an extension in order to bring the light out and down/mount onto Bracket B. Any tips on mounting/using the brackets without installing that big, honking, black, plastic flappy bit at the back. The only thing worse than having to stick one on in order to get the panniers to fit is having to buy one.

Member Contributer Switchblade Posted November 24, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted November 24, 2013 You can connect anyway with shorter bolts . It will look odd or you can check feabay for a replacement rear fender .
iMotoPilot
STrider, I'm in the same boat as you were. Previous owner installed fender eliminator and I'm trying to install a Givi side luggage kit. I have the oem fender but like the way the recessed plate looks. What did you end up doing? Wonder if there's a work around to keep the fender eliminator?
