Frogger4thga
I have a set of soft bags and i have them situated as best as i can but they still kinda droop inward. I was wondering if anyone knew of a support bracket for a 5th gen.
Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted November 15, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted November 15, 2011 The Cortech bags have a strap between the bags which helps pull them up. You may get some tips in this thread about my softbags. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/37332-cortech-tribag-review-plus-new-18l-tank-bag/
Member Contributer apj Posted November 15, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted November 15, 2011 Givi make generic soft bag supports for most models (well they are really for their own soft bags but can be used for any as all they do is stop the bags from drooping and rubbing on the rear wheel). They're not expensive either. I run them on my FZ6 for a set of generic soft bags.
Jon28
I have the Oxford Sports panniers. They work great and the only thing I use is the padded liners (same ones you use on inside of cabinets) to protect the paint. My have the "sag" when loaded down but does not affect the function of them. I don't see the need of the supports unless you are concered with asethetics.....(of course hard bags would be best!)
